Editorial Internship Program – Gulfstream Media Group

Wanted: Dynamic and creative editorial interns for award-winning city/regional lifestyle and interior design magazines. Interns will have regular interaction with the editorial staff and explore the behind-the-scenes creation of a glossy magazine. Students will have the chance to see their name in print, executing articles from start to finish. Our office is located just off Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, with satellite offices in Stuart and Jupiter, areas brimming with activity and stories waiting to be written.

Responsibilities of the internship include:
• developing themes and content
• executing and pitching story ideas
• editing and fact-checking online and print content
• writing FOB stories, profiles and features
• managing editorial archives and our annual charity register

The ideal candidate should:
• possess strong use of AP style
• have fluid interviewing and writing skills
• possess time and workflow management skills
• be detailed oriented and work well in a deadline-oriented environment
• be familiar with InDesign, Photoshop and Microsoft Office

Commitment:
This opportunity is unpaid but can be used toward college credit. Commitment is targeted at 15-20 hours per week.
